There are numerous species of jellyfish in Singapore and with so much plastic trash in our waters, it makes it hard for them to avoid it. Unfortunately, plastics have in found in the digestive systems of many jellyfish. Scientists are now researching how they can remove microplastics from seawater using a filter from jellyfish mucus.
