Adrift Gift by Serena Adsit

An avid lover of the sea, hailing from island-nation Singapore, Serena marries her beach clean-up efforts and her sightings of local marine life with what she calls 'sad-cute' eco friendy upcycled designs to bring awareness to the plastics pollution problem.

I am a part of a larger beach clean-up community, and I champion a Sustainability & Conservation interest group within Entrepreneurs Organization (Singapore).

Being out on the stand-up paddleboard gives me ample opportunity to catch glimpses of otters, turtles, jellyfish, stingrays, horseshoe crabs and other local fauna. Unfortunately, it also highlights the dire state of plastics pollution in our waters and on our shores. I couldn't just ignore the floating debris, so I've also started to pick up trash while out on the water paddling.

I've been drawing since I was a teenager and this passion project is the perfect way for me to express my creativity and to make a positive impact. Marine plastic is such a massive problem that every bit of effort to clean up our waters and beaches helps.

Every gift is lovingly handmade by me... hope you enjoy my gifts and share them with the world!

I am happy to share that 10% of proceeds for the rest of 2021 will be donated to Beyond Social Services, a charity dedicated to helping children and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds break away from a cycle of poverty.
